About Me

I do not want my family or colleagues knowing about this blog, lest I edit for their approval, so I have blocked everything on my profile. In its stead, here is everything you might want to find in a profile:

My husband and I are 20-something newlyweds living in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a PhD student, I am an engineer. He plays the guitar, I play the violin. We don’t have children, but would love to.

Now for the darker things, the ones that I want only you, Reader, to know; the things that I do not broadcast in my daily life. I’m a recovering alcoholic. I’m the daughter of a narcissistic mother and a loving, but quietly enabling, father. My childhood is full of emotional cruelties that only I know. My husband and I may never be able to have children, because those are the cards we seem to have been dealt.

This blog was started as a venue to talk about my struggles with recovering from alcoholism. But because life’s webs are entangled so, it has become a blog about my quest for recovery from all the negative aspects of my past and current life.
